Blinds in Glass

Integral blinds in glass are a neat and stylish alternative to curtains, external blinds and other window dressings for your home or business. Choose from Venetian or pleated blinds which fit perfectly inside the double-glazed unit, and means they won’t get damaged and will never need cleaning.

All our sealed units are Argon filled and feature a double seal which helps guarantee the quality and energy performance of your windows and doors, long term. Two seals mean extra protection – giving you peace of mind that you won’t have problems in the future. The secondary seal also gives the insulated glass unit (IGU or sealed unit) its structural strength, ensuring there is no chance of movement once installed. This is especially important in larger sealed units used in patio and bi-fold doors.

Integral blinds give you better control of the temperature of your home, helping you stay cooler in summer and warmer through the winter. Depending on the colour of your blinds and whether they’re Venetian or pleated in design, integral blinds can keep out up to 70% of heat in the summer (solar reflection), keep out up to 78% of sunlight (light reflection) and absorb up to 88% of the sun’s heat (solar absorption) – creating a more comfortable home.

Totally hygienic

They are sealed inside the glazing, integral blinds are dust and dirt free which makes them more hygienic than traditional blinds and other window dressings. Integral blinds are often used in hospital and schools because they do not require cleaning and are hygienic. Plus, the SV system is operated using an external magnetic slider which is treated with the Sanitized® patented antibacterial finish, for long-lasting protection.

Child friendly

Children can very easily pull the cords or put their fingers inside traditional Venetian blinds and cause damage or potentially hurt themselves. Integral blinds are child friendly as they are safely positioned inside the double-glazed unit. Our System fully complies with British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) Make it Safe sheme.

No cleaning and maintenance free

Integral blinds are sealed between the panes of glass in double glazed windows and doors. They are not exposed to the elements, dirty fingers or dust. The blinds are inside the glass, so they never need cleaning and are maintenance free. They are a fit and forget product, no cleaning and maintenance free.

Integral blinds are sleek, stylish and popular with homeowners. They are particularly suited to bi-fold doors, sliding patio and French doors, which are increasingly popular in conservatories, orangeries and kitchen and house extensions.

Integral blinds are the ideal solution for controlling the heat and glare of the sun. They provide privacy and shading at the pull of a cord or the press of a switch. Easy to install – sealed units with integral blinds inside are easy to install.

Suitable for all types of frames

Aluminium, timber and uPVC – and are fitted in the same way as any other window or door. Even our motorised blinds – the W Swipe and the MB System - are pre-wired and fully tested, making for a smooth and problem-free installation.

Venetian Blind

Venetian blinds, with their horizontal slats allow adjustment of light entering your room even when the blinds are fully lowered. They offer privacy while still allowing the light to flow in if you wish – simply adjust the direction of the slats. Integrated Venetian blinds that are permanently sealed inside the cavity of a double or triple-glazed unit have the added benefit of being out of harm’s way, in between the panes of glass, so they cannot be damaged and do not need to be cleaned. There’s the added benefit of a clutter-free window cill too. Integrated Venetian blinds are ideal for French doors, patio doors, sliding and bi-fold doors as well as windows throughout the home or commercial building.

Pleated/Pleated Blackout Blind

Our range of stylish pleated blinds are available in the vanity or blackout fabric in a wide range of colour options so they’re able to perfectly complement any interior design. Allowing a soft diffusion of light, integral pleated blinds are an attractive, elegant blind solution with a number of practical benefits, including their requirement for no cleaning or maintenance. They are safely enclosed in between the double or triple glazed panes of glass within windows, bi-fold doors and conservatories. This allows them to stay in pristine condition for many years to come. They are also perfectly suited to rooms that have condensation or water such as bathrooms and kitchens.

Energy efficiency built-in

All Uni-Blinds® feature a warm edge spacer bar to ensure the thermal insulation and energy efficiency of the sealed unit is maximised. The stainless-steel spacer bar is co-extruded with polypropylene to enhance the benefits of all ScreenLine® integral blind systems and energy saving qualities – all within the perfect hermetic seal.

Slimline blinds

We have also introduced a slimline integral blind, the SL16 System, the first integrated blind system designed to accommodate a 16mm cavity thanks to its exclusive 10mm slats. It’s the perfect solution for composite doors and vertical sliding windows.
